As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Crime Deterrence in Suffolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. - Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the healthcare location, including buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, requesting assistance from clinical staff, emergency responders, and/or law enforcement when needed.
- Monitor access points, identify suspicious behavior, and document security-related incidents, observations, and patrol activity according to site procedures.
- Maintain control of assigned firearm and equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, licensing requirements, and applicable laws.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an armed guard card/license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
