Platform Engineer - fixed term

This is a fixed-term contract.

We are looking for a motivated Platform Engineer to help build, maintain, and improve our platform services and infrastructure. In this role, you will contribute hands-on to engineering work, implement solutions defined together with the team, and collaborate closely with senior engineers to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable systems.

You will work alongside development, QA, DevOps, and product teams, combining hands-on engineering with active collaboration, while growing your technical skills and taking increasing ownership of the components you work on.

Your Role

Platform Engineering & Development

• Build and maintain platform infrastructure and services across cloud environments.

• Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts.

• Contribute to infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and configuration management under established patterns.

• Implement solutions following the team’s engineering standards, best practices, and design patterns.

• Support the adoption of tools and frameworks selected by the team.

Collaboration & Delivery

• Deliver assigned engineering work items with consistent, reliable progress.

• Collaborate with senior engineers on design reviews and technical solutions.

• Work closely with development, QA, DevOps, and product teams to ensure alignment.

• Communicate progress and raise technical blockers early.

• Participate in stand-ups, and other Agile ceremonies.

Reliability, Security & Operations

• Help ensure the availability, observability, and performance of platform services.

• Set up and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging.

• Participate in incident response and support root cause analysis.

• Apply security, compliance, and governance standards in day-to-day work.

• Contribute to improving system resilience and recovery capabilities.

Your background

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• 2–5 years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure roles.

• Working knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

• Experience or familiarity with:

- Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation, etc.)

- CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)

• Scripting or programming skills in one or more languages (Python, Go, Bash, etc.).

• Exposure to Agile/DevOps ways of working.

• Willingness to learn and grow toward greater technical ownership.
