Candidates will be subject to a motor vehicle record check upon hire.The expected annual salary range for this role is $156000 - $228000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you’ll do:
In this role you will provide national engineering leadership to create complete engineering design packages with the following responsibilities:Provide engineering leadership across the Project Engineering group by mentoring the broader engineering teamAct as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) by leading organization in current and emerging power distribution technologyProvide guidance/oversight to the standards committee for the development of design standards and specificationsEstablish engineering program goals to grow engineering business throughout countryPerform complex engineering work or act as lead engineer on complex projects to ensure successful delivery and mentorshipPerform QAQC in collaboration with Regional Project Engineers (RPE) to ensure high quality deliverablesAssist RPE in developing engineering design concepts and estimates at the proposal stageOversee development of electrical drawing packages including physical layouts, ground grid design, protection and control, and wiringAssist RPE in developing testing/commissioning plans for projects and be SME resource during testing/commissioning phase.Assist RPE in leading engineering effort on large turnkey projects with multiple engineering groups to ensure high quality and on-schedule deliverablesProvide technical oversight of civil engineering designsAssist RPE in QA/QC review of internal and external designs for code compliance, accuracy, and constructabilityAssist in development and enforcement of design and process standardsProviding technical guidance, value added engineering and constructability guidance during both the design and implementation phasesMentoring and/or leading other engineersSupport National Engineering Managers with operational support including project financial updates and risk reviewsQualifications:
Required Qualifications:BS in electrical engineering from an accredited institutionMinimum of ten (10) years of power system transmission, distribution, or generation designMust be willing to travel up to 25%Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving recordSuccessfully complete and maintain compliance with Eaton’s safety program and policy; This includes role-applicable portions of the EESS Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) program and any required annual re-certifications thereafter.Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
