Overview:

The Senior Consultant – AI Go-to-Market Insurance DACH supports the development, positioning, and commercialization of AI solutions for insurers, reinsurers, brokers, and insurance service providers across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

The role combines insurance expertise, AI and transformation knowledge, client engagement, and opportunity shaping. Working with Sales, Client Partners, Industry Leaders, solution teams, and technology partners, the Senior Consultant helps clients identify valuable AI use cases, build business cases, and translate strategic priorities into executable transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Insurance AI go-to-market strategy across the DACH region.
  • Build trusted relationships with business, technology, data, and transformation stakeholders.
  • Identify and shape AI opportunities aligned with client and account priorities.
  • Facilitate workshops to define high-value AI and Generative AI use cases across underwriting, claims, distribution, customer service, finance, risk, and operations.
  • Develop business cases, value propositions, transformation roadmaps, and client-specific points of view.
  • Support presales activities, including qualification, solution shaping, proposals, presentations, demonstrations, and executive meetings.
  • Contribute to new offerings such as agentic AI, Service-as-Software, AI-enabled managed services, and co-innovation models.
  • Collaborate with AI, cloud, insurance platform, and InsurTech partners to develop differentiated solutions.
  • Conduct market, competitor, and technology research and contribute to thought leadership, events, and publications.
  • Support pipeline development and provide transparency on opportunities, value, and next steps.
  • Ensure responsible AI, security, privacy, governance, regulatory compliance, model risk management, and human oversight are embedded in solutions.
  • Work effectively across interdisciplinary and international teams.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in consulting, professional services, technology, or insurance, including client-facing responsibilities.
  • 3+ years working with AI, data, analytics, automation, or digital transformation.
  • Practical experience with Generative AI, AI agents, intelligent document processing, conversational AI, or similar applications.
  • 3+ years of insurance industry experience through consulting, transformation, solution development, or industry roles.
  • Understanding of insurance business models, value chains, and core processes.
  • Experience with presales, business development, workshops, solution shaping, proposals, or client presentations.
  • Experience developing business cases, transformation roadmaps, or value propositions.
  • Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluency in German and English and willingness to work across DACH and Europe.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with insurance organizations in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland.
  • Understanding of Generative AI, agentic AI, machine learning, NLP, and modern data architectures.
  • Familiarity with Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, and insurance technology platforms.
  • Experience designing or implementing insurance-specific AI use cases.
  • Strong workshop facilitation and requirements translation skills.
  • Knowledge of responsible AI, privacy, security, governance, model risk, and European regulation.
  • Experience working across consulting, data science, architecture, engineering, and change management.
  • Commercial mindset, strong storytelling skills, and the ability to explain AI concepts to business and technical audiences.
