About this Role

We are seeking an experienced DevOps professional to join an agile team delivering Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) solutions. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Solution Architects and Engineering teams to design, implement, integrate, migrate, and optimise cloud-native platforms and infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a key role in Kubernetes, Docker and API platform implementations, support application availability across UNIX and Windows environments, and contribute to technical innovation through proof-of-concepts, automation and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you’ll do

Evaluate business requirements and provide recommendations on application and platform design.

Analyse design specifications and validate technical solutions with development stakeholders.

Collaborate with Solution Architects and Engineering teams to assess new technologies and functionalities, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Implement, integrate and support Kubernetes, Docker and APIGEE environments.

Take ownership of platform migrations and upgrades to new releases.

Partner with Engineering Leads to plan and execute proof-of-concept initiatives.

Communicate solution designs and implementation approaches to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Maintain and enhance technical documentation, knowledge repositories and operational procedures.

Ensure high availability and operational stability of applications and hosted servers across UNIX and Windows platforms.

Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, application and database-related issues.

Perform technical analysis and incident resolution activities for service requests and production issues.

Utilise team tools, documentation and knowledge bases to support operational excellence.

Work with external vendors where required to resolve complex technical challenges.

Who you are

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience delivering projects across multiple technical domains with varying levels of complexity.

Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively across organisational and technical boundaries.

Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions.

Demonstrated commitment to process improvement, automation and innovation.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.High attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Flexible, proactive and collaborative approach to work.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience designing end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Git, Jenkins and Ansible.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies, preferably Terraform.
  • Hands-on experience with containerisation technologies including Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Practical experience with at least one cloud provider such as GCP, AWS or Azure.
  • Strong understanding of Linux/UNIX administration.
  • Good knowledge of networking concepts including VPC, VPN, TCP/IP, routing, load balancing, DNS and proxy technologies.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence and GitHub.
  • Understanding of microservices architecture.
  • Experience with Nexus and SonarQube is highly desirable.
  • AWS experience is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of SSO and enterprise connectivity technologies.
  • Software or web development experience is beneficial.
  • Experience with Remedy is advantageous.
  • ITIL Foundation certification is beneficial.
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, particularly GCP and AWS.
  • Good knowledge of DevOps toolchains including Ansible, GitHub and Chef.
