About Marktplaats

Marktplaats is one of the Netherlands' leading online marketplaces, helping make commerce more sustainable by giving products an extended life. With over 2.1 million buyers and sellers visiting our platform every day, around 350,000 new listings added daily and users spending an average of 22 minutes per visit, we're building a platform that people use and trust. Every connection we enable helps people save money, earn money and reduce waste. As part of Adevinta, one of Europe's leading online classifieds groups, we're building products that make buying and selling second-hand products simpler, safer and better for everyone.

This role sits within our Product & Technology function in our Amsterdam office, home to over 300 talented professionals, where cross-functional teams design, develop and scale the products that millions of users rely on every day across our Benelux marketplaces, Marktplaats and 2dehands/2ememain.

Our IT team keeps Marktplaats running securely and reliably, and AI enablement is a growing focus within it. Reporting to the Head of IT, you'll work closely with our AI Integration Engineer to make AI practical and impactful for colleagues across Finance, HR, Legal, Procurement, and beyond.

What You Will Do

Marktplaats is actively embedding AI into everyday ways of working, and this role is at the centre of that. It requires real capability, not just curiosity.

  • Partner with the AI Integration Engineer and IT leadership on priorities, shared learnings, and the direction of the AI programme.
  • Support employees across Marktplaats and 2dehands, primarily in Finance, HR, Legal, and Procurement, in adopting and effectively using AI tools in their daily work.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for AI questions across the organisation, proactively spotting adoption blockers before they become problems.
  • Help teams identify where AI can reduce repetitive tasks, improve output quality, and free up time for higher-value work.
  • Build and maintain AI agents, prompts, and Claude Projects tailored to specific team needs, turning institutional knowledge into reusable assets anyone in the function can use.
  • Develop prompt libraries, templates, and lightweight automations that connect AI tools to existing workflows.
  • Run onboarding sessions, workshops, and informal drop-ins to build confidence and capability across teams.
  • Create clear documentation and guides tailored to non-technical audiences.
  • Track adoption, collect user feedback, and iterate continuously, reporting progress to IT leadership.
  • Contribute to shaping how the organisation adopts AI, with visibility across strategy and implementation spanning multiple business functions.

Who You Are
  • 3–5 years in an enablement, change management, training, or internal consulting role, with hands-on experience applying AI tools in a professional context.
  • Experienced with enterprise AI platforms such as Claude, ChatGPT Enterprise, or Gemini for Workspace, or able to reach genuine tool proficiency quickly.
  • Able to understand how business processes work by talking to the people who run them, and translate that into concrete AI-driven improvements.
  • A strong communicator who makes complex things feel simple; colleagues trust you to explain AI in terms that make sense for their world.
  • Proactive and self-directing; you spot opportunities and act without waiting to be told.
  • Comfortable managing multiple stakeholder relationships simultaneously without dropping the ball.
  • Well-organised, able to manage your own workload independently.

Bonus Points
  • Exposure to prompt engineering or workflow automation.
  • Prior knowledge of business processes in Finance, HR, Legal/Procurement, or Marketing.
  • Familiarity with the Marktplaats stack: Google Workspace, Slack, HiBob, Workday, Coupa.

This role is based out of our Amsterdam office. While we offer flexibility, we value in-person collaboration and encourage our teams to spend regular time in the office.
