You will manage all resources to achieve desired results within the branch.In this role you will:Design and implement programs to maximize net profit and return on salesInitiate new and improve existing programs to support meeting or exceeding financial performance metricsMonitor customer service levels, and take action to improve service as neededMonitor inventory levels, and promote the sale of obsolete and overstocked materialOversee preparation of large branch budget, and monitor actual performance to ensure branch achieves objectivesManage a large number of employees and delegate effectively through key positionsMonitor activities to ensure compliance with government regulations and organizational policies and proceduresDevelop and maintain business relationships with current and potential customers and suppliersMonitor competitive conditions in the territory, and recommend changes as necessary to gain market share in new areasDevelop and implement strategic plans to ensure long-term market share and profitability growthWhat you bring to the table:Minimum 5 years management experience in sales, operations, or finance required, 6+ years preferred4 year degree in Business, Marketing, or related major preferredKnowledge of wholesale distribution industry and supply chain management principlesKnowledge of the impact pricing decisions have on the profit and loss of the CompanyKnowledge of various suppliers and their respective product linesBusiness planning and market analysis skillsFinancial analysis, SAP and Microsoft Office Suite skillsOral and written communication skillsNegotiation, conflict resolution and problem solving skillsLeadership skills and the ability to effectively supervise staff and achieve results through othersAbility to develop and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers to achieve short and long-term goals of the branchAbility to think strategically about business needsAbility to recruit for key positions and build a strong service infrastructureAbility to effectively communicate across multiple internal and external layers of the organizationOrganizational and time management skillsSome travel requiredPay Details:The expected salary for this position is starting at $150,000 annually depending on experience. This position is also bonus eligible based on specific and relevant business metrics.This role requires the use of your personal vehicle for business purposes.
