Job Description
We are looking for an Embedded Software Senior Team Lead responsible for coordinating delivery across teams or subsystems while leading engineering teams. You will combine team leadership with ownership of execution, including alignment of priorities, dependencies, and delivery risks.
You will work closely with engineers, Product Owners, and peer Team Leads to ensure consistent execution and integration across components.
You will report to the Manager/Senior Manager, Embedded Software and have a hybrid schedule working in Katowice, Poland.
Your Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead multiple engineering teams and conduct regular 1:1 meetings, feedback sessions, and development planning
- Set and track team goals aligned with organizational priorities
- Support hiring, onboarding, and capability development across teams
Delivery & Cross-Team Coordination
- Coordinate delivery across teams in collaboration with Product Owners and Scrum Masters
- Manage dependencies, identify risks, and ensure effective resolution of issues
- Ensure consistent execution by applying development processes, coding standards, and quality practices
Engineering Culture & Continuous Improvement
- Promote improvements through retrospectives, feedback collection, and process optimization
- Promote engineering practices such as automated testing, CI/CD, and standardization
- Support initiatives such as training programs, knowledge-sharing groups, or internal events
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, Automation, Electronics, or a related field
- Typically, 5–8 years of experience in embedded software development or a related field
- Background in people management, technical leadership, mentoring, or team coordination
- Track record in leading teams or coordinating work with multiple teams
- Capability to present delivery status, risks, and dependencies to partners
- Expertise in supporting technical decisions using trade-offs and data in collaboration with Product Owners and peer leads
The Preferred – You Might Also Have
- Knowledge of Agile and SAFe delivery frameworks
- Capability to coordinate delivery across multiple subsystems and projects
- Involvement in driving internal initiatives and organizational programs
