Position Summary
The Security Supervisor is a full-time, hourly position that reports to the Manager, Security & Transportation. The Security Supervisor is responsible for protecting Snapdragon Stadium and its visitors, staff, and vendors in support of the stadium's 24/7 security operations.
This role pays an hourly rate of $24.50

About the Venue
Snapdragon Stadium is a 35,000-seat multipurpose venue that serves as the home for San Diego State University football, San Diego FC (MLS), San Diego Wave FC (NWSL), major concerts and festivals, college and professional sports, motorsports, international soccer, entertainment events, and private special events.
Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Team Leadership: Train, coach, and guide Security Officers while managing scheduling and post assignments.
- Shift Briefings: Conduct daily pre-shift briefings to communicate stadium events, high-risk areas, and deployment strategies.
- SOP Enforcement: Enforce venue-specific security protocols and assist with updating post orders to improve operational efficiency.
- Resource Allocation: Deploy personnel dynamically based on crowd sizes, event profiles, and real-time threat assessments.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with third-party security vendors to ensure alignment with stadium compliance standards.
Incident & Crisis Management
- Emergency Coordination: Assist with leading evacuation procedures and crisis response during severe weather, active threats, or structural emergencies.
- De-escalation Intervention: Intervene in high-conflict situations to defuse physical or verbal altercations safely.
- First Response: Act as property's first responder to alarms, medical calls, and property damage during non-event times.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Hazard Assessments: Perform regular physical patrols of the venue to identify and mitigate safety hazards or structural vulnerabilities.
- Asset Accountability: Oversee the tracking, distribution, and maintenance of security equipment, including radios, key cards, and keys.
- Systems Operation: Monitor and operate closed-circuit surveillance, access control, and fire alarm systems.
- Evidentiary Management: Secure and archive surveillance footage and physical evidence for legal or internal investigation purposes.
- Schedule Coordination: Assist Manager with managing scheduling and timekeeping.
- Documentation: Review Incident Reports to confirm accurate and complete information.
Qualifications
- 2-3+ years in security/related fields; at least 1 year in a leadership role.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Criminal justice coursework preferred.
- BSIS Guard Card certification is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Clear and concise communication (Spanish is a plus).
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be available for nights, weekends, holidays, and stadium events.
- Professional image and demeanor.
- Able to move throughout and access various areas of the stadium for prolonged periods.
- Ability to lift and transport heavy objects.
