Job Description:
Job Summary**
Responsible for the efficient and cost-effective procurement of raw materials, components, and services essential for the manufacturing operations of CROWN Arabia Can Company Ltd, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
Job Responsibilities**
* Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, delivery speed, and reliability.
* Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve optimal value and favorable agreements.
* Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
* Monitor and track supplier performance, addressing any issues related to quality, delivery, or cost.
* Maintain accurate purchasing records, including supplier information, pricing, and order history.
* Collaborate with production, quality control, and inventory departments to forecast material needs and optimize inventory levels.
* Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, products, and industry trends.
* Resolve disputes and discrepancies with suppliers regarding invoices, shipments, and product quality.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant purchasing regulations and company procurement policies.
* Contribute to cost reduction initiatives and process improvements within the purchasing department.
Job Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proficiency in using purchasing software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Demonstrated understanding of supplier management and inventory control principles.
* Familiarity with quality standards and specifications relevant to the can manufacturing industry is a plus.
* Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
