Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a I&T Manager – Level 3 to join our team in Dulles, VA. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work. This is both a functional management position with direct reports and a Project Leadership position. The Manufacturing Integration & Test Managers are the interface between the Business Units and Manufacturing. This position is responsible for schedule management and cost accountability of manufacturing activities in Integration & Test for their respective Business Units. This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off. In this job, you will: * Manage the production execution for Business Unit programs * Manage I&T cost and schedule performance * Serve as I&T lead for all proposals in the Business Unit * Create and lead teams to resolve the issues adversely impacting the I&T execution of the programs * Understand and report on Manufacturing Operations status at the required level of detail to the Program Manager, Sector Executive Management and customers * Ensure I&T has the needed resources (resources needs as well as allocation of resources from I&T) to execute the programs * Serve as Functional Manager and direct the work of the reporting Operations Project Managers * Perform manpower planning and execute hiring to support the Business Division * Mentor, develop, and assess direct reports * Provide strategic leadership to ensure all Program and Integration & Test objectives are achieved * Provide I&T expertise to support the strategic vision of the Business Division Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional experience including people management experience – OR – Master’s degree with 6 years of professional experience including people management experience. * Requires an active U.S. Government Top-Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope * 5+ years of experience leading people and/or projects * 2+ years of direct people leadership experience * 8+ years of experience working in Manufacturing, Engineering, Test, Production, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, Project Engineering, IPT, Integration & Test, or similar roles (6 years with a Master's degree) * Working knowledge of Cost Point and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems Preferred Qualifications: * Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical engineering * Current security clearance or ability to obtain one * Demonstrated expertise in the following systems and concepts: * MRP and IMS Scheduling * Cost Point production planning and material management tools * Windchill, TipQA, Cognos, * Earned Value Management * Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing and Manufacturing * Experience leading I&T proposal efforts that include labor quoting, schedule and capacity analysis, investment planning, and descriptive writing contributions * Excellent presentation and communication skills * Program...
