Accounting Manager

Major Responsibilities:
• Lead, mentor, and inspire a high performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Review, analyze, and approve team deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and business alignment
• Demonstrate advanced analytical skills in identifying, validating, and documenting issues while developing solutions
• Build and maintain critical relationships with Direct Reports, Peers, Senior Leadership, and Strategic Partners
• Communicate effectively across all levels by tailoring written and verbal messaging to diverse audiences, presenting persuasively, and demonstrating active listening to build understanding
• Design, implement, and monitor internal controls and risk assessment frameworks to safeguard company assets, ensure compliance, and mitigate financial risk.
• Apply advanced GAAP knowledge to interpret standards and develop accounting policies.
• Align team goals with department strategy, delegate with clear authority, and hold members accountable while addressing performance issues decisively.
• Develop future leaders by providing feedback, coaching, and career development to maximize their probability for success
• Other projects and tasks assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
• 5 plus years of accounting experience required
• 3 plus years of management experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
• CPA preferred
• MBA preferred
• Strong organizational skills required
• Excellent analytical and conceptual skills and ability to troubleshoot required
• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel required
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint required
• Proficiency in the use of Qlik sense and Power Query preferred
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required
