Scope:
The Distribution Training & Facilities Specialist is an experienced position within the Distribution Center with a focus on the coordination and execution of site training activities, facility initiatives and management of supplies for the facility.
Job Summary:
The role is responsible for assisting the Distribution Center leadership team in executing the daily operations of the facility. As the coordinator, this role works collaboratively with the DC leadership team and other key business partners to ensure compliance and execution of onsite training and safety initiatives for both the facility and its associates. This role will also act as the key point of contact for external communications around training, safety and facility requirements. This position will be responsible for ensuring facility supplies are maintained, procured and in stock to support the site needs and managing relationships with external vendors that support the facility.
Lead and maintain the onsite training program & records for associates within the Distribution Center
Assist in the training and onboarding of new hires
Create and build out the facility training program to ensure a safe and compliant work environment
Respond to internal and external correspondence and direct information to appropriate team members
Support the investigation and documentation requirements for onsite safety incidents
Assist with onsite facility request and coordinate of onsite vendors
Coordinate and order supplies needed for the facility
Initiate PO create and receipt of vendor invoices
Assist in ongoing projects as required
Performs additional duties or assignments as directed by management

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proficient using Microsoft office suite, MRP, and other automation software and programs
Experience pulling data from ERP, WMS and TMS preferred
Healthcare, medical device or other manufacturing in a regulated environment experience desired
Self-motivated and able to proactively solve problems both independently and as part of a broader organization
Communication both internally and externally
Foster team centric environment
Previous Facility, EH&S, Training or Warehouse experience a plus but not required
Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Experience and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- 4 years of hands-on warehouse experience in a combination of positions related to warehouse management, inventory management, and operations
- Proficient using and training Microsoft office suite, ERP, and other automation software and programs such as WMS in a warehouse management environment.
- Ability and willingness to enforce procedural and policy compliance.
- Healthcare, medical device or other manufacturing in a regulated environment experience highly preferred.
- Results driven, innovative, creative, and action-oriented; able to align and energize teams behind common objectives in both a reporting and a non-reporting structure.
Travel: May require up to 10% travel
