Skip to main contentOur CompanyOur BusinessSearch for JobsJoin Talent NetworkFAQsProfileEnglishSign InSingle PositionView All JobsSenior Financial Analyst, Business Problem Solving and AI DeliverySan Diego, California, United States of America No longer accepting applications.Job ID3088733The Senior AI Scientist owns complex finance and accounting problems end-to-end: framing ambiguous challenges, diagnosing root causes using data, and designing and deploying AI-enabled solutions that simplify processes, reduce manual effort, improve decision quality, and meet control and compliance requirements.This role is intentionally balanced—approximately 50% focused on business problem solving and analytical reasoning, and 50% on hands-on data analysis, AI development, and automation delivery.This role requires full-time onsite work in San Diego, CA (5 days per week). **This position is not eligible for Qualcomm immigration sponsorship.**Key Responsibilities Business Problem Solving & Analytical Reasoning (≈50%)• Frame complex finance and accounting problems into clear problem statements, constraints, success metrics, and decision criteria.• Diagnose root causes using structured problem-solving techniques and data analysis.• Quantify opportunities and risks through baseline metrics and analytical models.• Evaluate solution options (process change, rules-based automation, analytics, AI) and recommend the optimal approach.• Translate analytical findings into clear, executive-ready insights and recommendations.Data, AI & Automation Delivery (≈50%)• Design, build, and deploy AI/ML solutions including LLMs and AI agents.• Develop Python-based data pipelines for enterprise finance systems.• Implement AI-driven automation using n8n or similar platforms.• Integrate solutions with Oracle, SAP, Workday, ADP, and equity systems.• Monitor model performance, drift, and business outcomes.Adoption & Enablement• Drive adoption through training, documentation, and hands-on enablement.• Promote self-service AI capabilities for finance users.• Build dashboards to track performance, adoption, and impact.What Success Looks Like (12–18 Months)• Delivery of multiple production AI solutions with measurable business impact.• Demonstrated strength in problem framing, analysis, and execution.• Trusted partnership with Finance leadership.Career ProgressionProgression is driven by ownership of larger problem spaces, analytical leadership, and influence over solution strategy—not just technical complexity.Qualifications• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (MS preferred) in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, AI/ML, or related field.• Strong structured problem-solving and analytical reasoning skills.• Proficiency in Python and AI/ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain).• Experience with AI-driven automation platforms (n8n or similar).• Strong finance/accounting business acumen and ERP experience.Preferred Experience• Finance or accounting process improvement experience.• Knowledge of payroll, equity, or compensation accounting.• Experience designing compliant, explainable AI solutions.
