About the Role

The Accountant II, Revenue Accounting supports the systems, reporting, and operational processes that enable accurate, compliant, and scalable revenue accounting. This role partners with cross-functional teams to support revenue-related system enhancements, reporting, month-end close activities, and process documentation. Working closely with senior team members, the Accountant II helps ensure operational readiness as the business evolves through new products, business models, and system changes.

What You'll Do

  • Support revenue accounting system enhancements by gathering business requirements, performing user acceptance testing (UAT), documenting results, and escalating issues as needed.
  • Create, maintain, and enhance revenue-related reports used for monthly close, reconciliations, analysis, and management review.
  • Partner with Product, Sales Operations, Billing, Legal, IT, and Finance teams to gather information and identify potential revenue accounting impacts.
  • Assist with documenting process updates related to new product offerings, business models, and operational changes.
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close activities through data validation, reporting, journal entry preparation, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.
  • Maintain process documentation, system workflows, and reporting procedures to support consistency, compliance, training, and audit readiness.
  • Escalate complex accounting, systems, or control matters while continuing to build expertise in revenue accounting operations and processes.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 1-4 years of experience in accounting, revenue accounting, finance operations, or systems/reporting support, ideally within a software, SaaS, technology, or subscription-based business.
  • Strong interest in accounting systems, reporting, process improvement, and automation.
  • Experience creating and maintaining reports that support reconciliations, analysis, and management reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with both finance and cross-functional stakeholders.

Bonus Skills

  • CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA designation.
  • Experience supporting system implementations, enhancements, or testing initiatives.
  • Knowledge of revenue accounting concepts and practices.
  • Familiarity with SOX compliance, internal controls, and audit requirements.
  • Experience in a high-growth SaaS or subscription-based technology environment.
  • Exposure to process automation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Compensation Transparency

Veeam is committed to pay transparency and equitable compensation. For this role, the compensation range below reflects the expected total target compensation (TTC), inclusive of base pay and a competitive performance-based bonus. For roles with a commission plan, the compensation range represents On Target Earnings (OTE), which includes base salary plus variable commission. When determining compensation, Veeam takes into consideration factors such as experience, education, skills, and geographic zone. Offers are typically made below the midpoint of the range.

In addition to compensation, Veeam provides a comprehensive benefits package, including health coverage, retirement plans, and unlimited time off.
