Downer has an opportunity for a Float Operator to join our Asphalt division, based at our Somerton depot. Offering a competitive hourly rate plus night shift and weekend allowances, this full-time permanent role will see you play a key part in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of asphalt laying equipment to and from sites across the Melbourne metropolitan area.

The role is ideal for someone with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and team collaboration who is looking for a rewarding position in the asphalt industry.

About You:

•    Current MC (Multi Combination) Driver Licence
•    Current General Construction Induction (White Card).
•    Knowledge and understanding of Chain of Responsibiilty (CoR).
•    Strong familiarity with the Melbourne metropolitan area.
•    Ability to work on a rotating shift roster.
•    Demonstrated initiative with the ability to meet deadlines.
•    A strong team player, capable of working efficiently with others.
•    A committment to upholding Zero Harm culture at all times.
