Position Purpose

St. Mary Medical Center is seeking an experienced and dynamic Nurse Manager to lead our 26-bed Telemetry Unit, which specializes in the care of cardiac and heart failure patients. Comprised entirely of private patient rooms, the unit plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered cardiovascular care.

This is an exciting opportunity to join St. Mary Medical Center as we continue to advance our cardiovascular service line and pursue Heart Failure Certification through Corazon. The Nurse Manager will provide operational, clinical, and people leadership while driving quality outcomes, colleague engagement, and exceptional patient experiences.

What You Will Do

  • Provide operational and clinical leadership for a 26-bed Telemetry Unit caring for cardiac and heart failure patients.

  • Lead, mentor, develop, and engage nursing colleagues to support a culture of excellence and accountability.

  • Promote high-quality, patient-centered care through evidence-based practice and performance improvement initiatives.

  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards.

  • Manage department staffing, scheduling, productivity, and resource utilization.

  • Foster a culture of safety, professional development, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  • Support strategic initiatives related to cardiovascular services and Heart Failure Certification efforts.

  • Drive quality, patient experience, colleague engagement, and financial stewardship outcomes.

What You Will Need

Required

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

  • Five (5) years of progressive nursing experience.

  • Previous leadership, supervisory, charge nurse, or management experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage change, and drive quality outcomes.

Preferred

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or related advanced degree.

  • Previous Nurse Manager experience in an acute care setting.

  • Telemetry, cardiac, cardiovascular, or heart failure nursing experience.

  • Experience with quality improvement, regulatory readiness, and patient experience initiatives.

  • Strong coaching, mentoring, and team development skills.

Pay Range: $105,019.20 - $162,843.20

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
