About the team & opportunity
Ontra is seeking a Senior Account Executive, New Sales, reporting to our Managing Director, Global New Sales, to join our rapidly growing company.
The Senior Account Executive will be an essential member of Ontra's New Sales team, driving new customer acquisition and helping legal and private markets organizations adopt Ontra's AI-native products and services. The successful candidate is a consultative seller, or former legal professional, who is excited to partner with sophisticated legal, compliance, and business stakeholders to transform legal workflows through innovative AI technology.
This person will quickly ramp by developing expertise in Ontra's AI-native platform and the MEDDICC sales framework, then prospect into a defined territory, create new opportunities, qualify leads, deliver tailored product demonstrations, and close complex enterprise sales.

What you'll do
Product: Quickly become fluent in Ontra's legal technology, AI-enabled products, and services.
Pipeline Management: Generate, own, and manage a pipeline from prospecting through close, engaging legal, compliance, and business stakeholders throughout the sales process.
New Business: Drive revenue growth by identifying, qualifying, pitching, and closing new customers across law firms, private markets, and financial institutions.
Strategy: Adapt quickly to evolving go-to-market initiatives while helping validate new products and market opportunities.
Collaboration: Partner closely with Solutions Engineers, Marketing, and Sales leadership to deliver thoughtful, consultative buying experiences.
What you'll bring
Experience: (i) 4+ years of success in enterprise B2B sales, ideally selling legal technology, AI-enabled services, or solutions into private markets, with experience engaging legal, compliance, transactional, or finance stakeholders; or (ii) 2+ years as a corporate attorney or paralegal, ideally supporting private funds, private equity, M&A, or finance transactions, looking to transition into a client-facing business role.
Tech Stack: High level of proficiency with Google Workspace, Salesforce, Outreach, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
Commercial Mindset: Entrepreneurial, consultative, and driven to create new opportunities through proactive prospecting and relationship building.
Intellectually Curious: Learns complex legal and business concepts quickly and communicates value effectively to sophisticated buyers.
Strong, Persuasive Communicator: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build credibility and influence senior legal and business stakeholders.
Team Player: Comfortable with autonomy, enjoys collaborating across functions, and is coachable and receptive to feedback.
Execution: Excellent organizational skills, including prioritization, time management, and pipeline management.

Some positions may be eligible for additional compensation, such as commission, variable compensation, profits interest units, or other equity-based compensation, which are not included in the below base pay range.
