Korea Sales Desk – TTS Payments & Liquidity Product Sales

NEW YORK, NYPosted Jul 29, 2026

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the primary Korean-language point of contact for Korean corporate treasury clients, conducting client engagements, pitches, RFP responses, and negotiations fluently in Korean.
  • Partner with internal client-facing GSS, Banking, and Coverage teams to identify, solution, and support new Payments and Liquidity business signings for Korean corporate clients and their regional subsidiaries.
  • Directly manage a dedicated Korea-focused TTS Product Sales pipeline, delivering new wins and achieving performance targets including wins, revenue realization, and client satisfaction metrics.
  • Build and deepen relationships with Korean corporate treasury teams, understanding their unique operational structures, cross-border fund flow needs, FX requirements, and working capital cycles.
  • Navigate Korean corporate culture effectively, including hierarchical decision-making structures, relationship-driven (관계 중심) business development, and the nuanced dynamics of engaging with chaebol treasury groups and their subsidiaries.
  • Drive new wins and revenues across Large Local Korean Corporates, Korean MNCs, and their subsidiaries through prospecting, cross-sell, and delivering market-leading TTS solutions tailored to Korean market needs.
  • Be the voice of the Korean client back into the TTS product organization — articulating new client requirements, product localization needs, regulatory considerations specific to Korea (e.g., KRW liquidity structures, Bank of Korea regulations), and overall market competitiveness.
  • Coordinate internally to drive timely and flawless execution of client mandates, working across global time zones and aligning Citi's global capabilities with Korean client expectations.
  • Collaborate with Citi's Korea in-country team and regional APAC partners to ensure seamless, locally relevant client delivery.

What We'll Need From You

  • Native or near-native Korean language proficiency (spoken and written) is essential — some client-facing communication, proposals, and negotiations will be conducted in Korean.
  • Minimum of 8+ years' experience in Sales, Treasury, or Transaction Banking roles, with direct exposure to Korean corporate clients strongly preferred.
  • Strong and demonstrated knowledge of Payments, Liquidity, and Working Capital products, with a proven track record of delivering scorecard results in a Korean or broader APAC market context.
  • Deep understanding of Korean Corporate Treasury practices, including KRW cash management, cross-border payment structures, intercompany liquidity, and FX hedging needs common to Korean multinationals.
  • Proven RFP and Deal Team Leadership with a track record of sales execution and deal wins, ideally in a competitive Korean banking or financial services environment.
  • Deep Trade and Treasury Product Knowledge, including supply chain finance, notional pooling, cash concentration, and cross-currency solutions relevant to Korean corporates operating globally.
  • Experience managing large, relationship-driven Korean client engagements — developing and delivering tailored sales plans that exceed financial objectives while respecting Korean business etiquette and relationship norms.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage credibly with senior Korean treasury executives (CFOs, Group Treasurers, Finance Directors) and navigate complex organizational hierarchies.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across Citi's global matrix organization — aligning Korea-specific needs with regional APAC and global product strategies.
  • Willingness to travel to Korea and across the region as required to support client relationships and business development activities.
