Single PositionExplore a Career With UsView All JobsHybridGlobal Capital Management DirectorLONDON, United Kingdom No longer accepting applications.Job ID26973333Date posted06/17/2026DepartmentInstitutional BankingThe Banker is a senior-level position responsible for ensuring efficient and optimal use of capital in Europe, Middle East & Africa and the UK region, with responsibilities for Capital Management and Leveraged Finance/ Sponsor-owned portfolio companies coverage.Responsibilities:Capital ManagementProvide leadership and active participation in global projects for Capital Management (e.g. Banking Balance Sheet Forum, Lower Left Reviews, RWA/GAAP monitoring etc.), liaising with APAC, Latam and NAM Capital Management teams to ensure globally consistent practicesCoordinate Banking Balance Sheet Forum (BBSF) and capital approvals and recommendations, supporting Bankers throughout the processAct as a capital management subject matter expert supporting Basel III Endgame, client financials, return methodologies and other capital related workstreamsReport periodically on capital and returns performance to regional and global senior management to help shape client and portfolio strategiesPartner with Risk to ensure strong first line of defenceNavigate strong working relationships with internal and external partnersRecruit and develop diverse talent for the Corporate Bank and serve as a mentor to junior bankersAppropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparencySponsor-Owned Portfolio Companies CoverageCB Coverage Banker for a portfolio of Leveraged Finance/ Sponsor-Owned portfolio companiesDevelop and execute client and product strategies relevant to the Sponsor Portfolio Clients including financing, derivatives, foreign exchange and cash management solutionsPartner with Leveraged Finance, GAM, IB, Leveraged Finance Underwriting and Risk as part of transaction origination and execution and to understand Sponsor requirementsWork with GAM, IB, LevFin, Markets and TTS partners to manage overall client relationships, deliver cross sell, as well as support our advisory efforts by building and maintaining close client relationshipsPartner with Markets to deliver hedging and foreign exchange solutions, and TTS to originate and implement cash management solutionsOwn the first line of defence responsibility for assessing the credit risk of portfolio companies in order to define Citi’s risk appetiteEnsure client relationships and proposed client solutions meet or exceed internal risk and return standardsQualifications:Ideally 10+ years of relevant experienceDemonstrated collaboration with multiple corporate banking stakeholders including coverage teams, risk and productsComprehensive knowledge of corporate banking business including related products, pertinent regulations and the lending and credit approval processDemonstrated leadership, organizational, negotiation, presentation sales, client-relationship building, analytical and credit skillsConsistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communicationExperience in originating, structuring and executing transactions and financingsExperience with large, global corporate clients, capital markets products, derivatives, credit, cash management, trade, finance and securities productsExperience in recruiting and managing diverse teams with commitment to talent development and ability to manage and work across a diverse and multi-country matrix structureEducation:Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experienceMaster's degree preferred“Candidates applying for this role must be aware that it is a...
