SALARY
Starting at $31 - $41 hourly, for candidates in Colorado state.

ABOUT THIS POSITION
The Building Engineer performs repairs and maintenance tasks, including preventive maintenance to the building structure and systems, and responds to tenant work orders. Promotes a culture and demonstrates market leadership that is committed to sustainability and strategic energy.
Essential Functions include but are not limited to:
- Performs general maintenance as directed by preventive maintenance schedule
- Performs some special project work for tenants as directed by Chief Engineer
- Participates in the Engineering on-call schedule
- Interfaces with service partners and contractors in coordination of work and inspection of work
- Performs specific maintenance and repairs using hand and power tools as directed by work orders including general carpentry, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing (may perform these duties with a high level expertise in one or more areas)
- Drives company vehicle, as needed

SKILLS
- Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
- General maintenance and carpentry skills
- May have expertise in one or more area of maintenance engineering
- Ability to operate computer software programs including Microsoft Word
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2 year technical accreditation
- 1-3 years’ experience in property / building engineering
- Current CFC card
- Current driver’s license.

- Physical Strength: Work requires occasional lifting of 50-75 lbs. and routine lifting of 25 lbs.; ability to maneuver in confined spaces 10% of the time; ability to perform duties at heights 10% of the time
Mental Activities and Requirements of this Position
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved instructions and to deal with problems involving a few variables
- Mathematics Ability: Ability to perform very basic math skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing two digit numbers; to perform the basic arithmetic operations with money; to perform operations with units such as inch, foot, and yard / ounce and pound
- Language Ability: Ability to use passive vocabulary of 5,000-6,000 words; ability to read
