Industrial Electrician
HPC-Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, is looking for an Industrial Electrician to join their safety conscious team! The Industrial Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment with an industrial work environment, including troubleshooting/diagnosing electrical problems, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. - Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment within an industrial setting, including motors, transformers, generators, and lighting systems
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems using testing equipment and hand tools as needed.
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints to determine the layout of electrical systems and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and electrical codes, and maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to identify and address electrical issues that may impact production or safety.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest electrical technologies and techniques to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensures that work meets all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment.
- May be assigned additional duties not listed above based on business needs.
Skills and Experience:
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment and adhere to strict safety protocols.
- Proven track record of successfully diagnosing and repairing electrical problems.
- Basic knowledge of industrial/plant equipment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
- Demonstrated proficiency using testing equipment and hand tools.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs and VFD’s) and other advanced electrical systems.
What does it take to work for HPC-Industrial?
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid electrician license or certification
Ability to travel up to 25%
