Broker Support Services - Marine & Energy

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Marine and Energy team at Guy Carpenter. This role will be based in London and follows a hybrid working model, with at least three days per week in the office.

This is a great opportunity for a Broker Support professional to join a specialist placement team, with a focus on the LMX London market excess of loss portfolio and the chance to gain exposure across the wider team. You will play an important role in supporting placement activity and helping deliver a high-quality service to our clients, brokers, and markets. The role offers excellent training and development for someone looking to build a long-term career in broker support.

We will count on you to:

  • Assist with reviews of client renewal information.

  • Initiate the contract drafting process, including updates and production of final contract documentation.

  • Support brokers and prepare submissions where required.

  • Track the placement status of assigned accounts and update information as necessary.

  • Maintain core placement files to ensure best-practice procedures and compliance requirements are evidenced.

  • Respond to client requests for information, including reinsurer, financial reports, and industry issues.

  • Support onboarding of new clients and markets.

  • Help manage compliance requirements, including sanctions referrals, third parties, AML, and ABC.

  • Monitor and report on business metrics.

  • Build strong relationships with the Service Team and develop an understanding of accounting, claims, and proportional treaty administration.

  • Actively participate in team, client, and reinsurer meetings.

What you need to have:

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload effectively.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.

  • Experience in insurance or reinsurance, with a solid understanding of broker support, technician, or placement processes.

  • Exposure to fiduciary processes or financial reporting.
