The Assistant Relief Manager of Slots Operation is responsible for Leading the Slot & Beverage departments in accomplishing the goals of the departments and Caesars New Orleans including focus on guest relations, business development and maintaining a fun and exciting atmosphere.  Accurately administers and oversees the operation of assigned area in compliance with casino regulations and procedures on assigned shift.  Provides support, leadership, motivation, training, coaching, and mentoring to all direct reports and subordinates. Creates an environment of trust and respect through empowerment of staff at all levels. Encourages high morale, fosters teamwork, and partnering among all team members.


 

  • Serves as a leader to employees while fostering teamwork, employee morale, motivation, and open communication. 
  • Assists and/or is fully responsible in the absence of the Slot & Beverage shift manager in implementing policies and procedures, investigating violations of the Louisiana Gaming Control Board (LGCB) as well as monitoring regulatory compliance. 
  • Coordinates Supervisor and employee schedule and insures that assigned areas are properly and sufficiently staffed and equipped. 
  • Manages labor utilization as measured by the Utilization Report. 
  • Promotes the FOCUS initiative by ensuring staff is modeling focus behavior. 
  • Ensures customer satisfaction is maximized.  Handles customer and employee concerns quickly and efficiently.  Responds in writing when appropriate. 
  • Provides appropriate recognition and rewards to individuals and groups when consistent superior performance is attained. 
  • Provides corrective feedback and discipline when performance does not meet expectations. 
  • Ensures each team member clearly understands and is held accountable for their respective performance expectations.  Responsible for execution and integrity of employee evaluation process. 
  • Ensures adherence to LGCB, department, and company policies and procedures. Acts as a role model and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars and encourages others to do the same; meets the attendance guidelines of the job.
  • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies. Institutes and maintains Responsible Vendor Program training.
  • High school diploma or GED required.  College degree preferred. 
  • Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business.
  • Must have 5 years of progressive slot or beverage experience; preferably with supervisory experience; must have a broad knowledge of casino rules, regulations and procedures, with strong organizational, communications, and leadership skills; excellent customer service skills are essential.
  • Good organizational, administrative and managerial skills are a must. Previous knowledge of casino rules, regulations and procedures pertinent to Slot operations is required.

Additional Requirement:

  • Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino. 
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds and carry up to 5 pounds. 
  • Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned desk area. 
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations. 
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. 
  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
