Job Description
1. Scheduling and Planning
• Develop, maintain, and optimize preventive maintenance schedules based on equipment criticality, regulatory requirements, and manufacturer recommendations.
• Generate detailed work orders for corrective maintenance, specifying procedures, required tools, and spare parts.
• Prioritize maintenance tasks according to urgency, cost, and impact on production and equipment reliability.
• Allocate tasks effectively to technicians considering skills, availability, and workload balancing.
2. Data Analysis and Reporting
• Monitor equipment performance through maintenance and calibration records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Analyze historical and real-time data to identify trends, potential failures, and areas for improvement.
• Assign improvement projects or targeted maintenance actions to supervisors and technicians based on data insights, ensuring accountability and follow-up.
• Generate reports on maintenance costs, downtime, asset performance, and reliability metrics.
• Apply problem-solving methodologies such as A3, PDCA, DMAIC, 5 Whys, Ishikawa (Fishbone), and 8D, and initiate CAPA to address root causes and implement corrective or preventive actions.
3. Equipment and Asset Management
• Maintain accurate asset registers and documentation, including calibration status and maintenance history.
• Recommend equipment upgrades, replacements, or modifications based on performance data and lifecycle analysis.
• Ensure proper tracking of critical spare parts and consumables to support uninterrupted operations.
4. Collaboration and Communication
• Work closely with maintenance technicians, supervisors, and calibration specialists to ensure smooth execution of all maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with operations and quality teams to schedule maintenance with minimal disruption to production.
• Communicate maintenance plans, updates, and progress to stakeholders and management.
5. Cost and Resource Management
• Estimate and track costs for maintenance tasks, including labor, parts, and external services.
• Identify opportunities to optimize resource utilization and reduce maintenance expenditures.
• Support budgeting and procurement processes, ensuring alignment with maintenance priorities and operational needs.
• Generate electronic requisition (eReqs) for spare parts, consumables, and other maintenance materials, ensuring timely replenishment.
• Follow up with the MRO department to confirm order status, delivery, and proper receipt of items.
6. Documentation, Standardization, and Technical Support
• Develop, update, and maintain SOPs for maintenance, calibration, and LOTO activities.
• Create visual aids, job instructions, and checklists to support technicians and supervisors in performing tasks consistently and safely.
• Ensure that all documentation is aligned with regulatory and quality requirements, and readily available for audits, training, and operational reference.
• Support the training and onboarding of maintenance personnel using standardized procedures and visual guides.
