Senior Embedded Software and Processing Engineer (m/f/d)
Location: Zurich #LI-ONSITE

Your Mission

  • Lead the definition and dimensioning of embedded processing solutions for advanced space products and associated test equipment.

  • Collaborate with system architects and electronics engineers to develop robust processing architectures using technologies such as microcontrollers, FPGAs and DSPs.

  • Act as the technical focal point for embedded software, supporting software specification, development and verification activities across multidisciplinary teams.

  • Coordinate software development work packages delivered by external partners, ensuring quality, technical alignment and successful delivery.

  • Support integration, commissioning, testing and the development of automated verification strategies for embedded systems.

  • Apply industry and space engineering standards while promoting robust software configuration and engineering best practices.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen engineering processes and support future innovation.

Your Experience

  • University degree in Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline.

  • Proven experience developing embedded software or firmware in close collaboration with hardware development teams.

  • Strong understanding of embedded processing technologies, including microcontrollers, FPGAs and DSPs.

  • Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering environments with excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • A structured, analytical approach with the ability to proactively solve complex technical challenges.

  • Experience coordinating technical activities or managing external development partners is an advantage.

  • Experience with space systems and knowledge of ECSS or comparable engineering standards is highly desirable.
