No longer listedBASIC PURPOSE:
Reporting to the Regional Controller, LATAM, the Accounts Receivable Supervisor will supervise the work of Billing and Accounts Receivable (AR) team, establish priorities and train for professional development.
Principal Accountabilities:
Supervise, train, motivate and evaluate team members' performance.
Write, update and review regional policies and SOP’s, aligning with operations and financial teams and management.
Lead billing activities, ensuring invoices are issued to customers in a timely manner with no errors and in accordance with local requirements (including tax compliance)
Lead the customer payments application and ensure timely collections, delivering a customer-excellence experience.
Responsible for the bad debts calculation and registration, according to the process in place.
Monthly calculating and monitoring DSO levels per country/program division and region to align them to Corporate standard levels
Responsible for maintaining accurate data in accounting software (Oracle EBS).
Complete month-end duties as outlined on the close checklist or as requested.
Reconcile AR balance sheet and income statements accounts, research errors and work with appropriate teams and members of management to correct variances and improve processes for accounts that may have recurrent problems.
Ensure appropriate internal controls are in place.
Contribute actively to the implementation of financial systems.
Perform transaction analysis to provide requested information to management.
Identify and recommend process improvement initiatives for assigned areas.
Special projects for Regional Controller, Regional Director of Finance or other managers and directors, as needed.
Attending internal / externa audit requirements.
Other accounting and admin responsibilities and duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in accounting or business administration.
English skills (advanced level).
Experience with Oracle Financials or another ERP system.
Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and to handle stress.
