Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible. Job Description:Parsons is now hiring for a Roadway Engineer II to join our brand new Nashville (Brentwood), Tennessee office, supporting our growing portfolio of major transportation projects!What You'll Be Doing:Independently develop and/or supervise the creation of contract documents for transportation projects meeting client quality requirements –including defining the problem, establishing scope, preparing the budget and schedule, planning work, providing technical direction, and reporting the work statusAnalyzing design issues and providing detail design that satisfies client’s needDelivering products consisting of detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analysesSupporting other discipline activities as necessaryMentoring young staff members and providing performance inputDeveloping skill sets to lead project development in the futureProviding technical guidance to young engineers and CAD Designer/Drafters on projectWhat Required Qualifications You'll Bring:Master's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)5+ years of related work experienceEngineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate may be requiredProficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with road engineeringExperience in developing 3D finite elements modelsDOT Road and wall design experienceWhat Desired Qualifications You’ll Bring:Excellent written and communication skillsAbility to lead and motivate team members in completion of project tasksProvide training and lead technical discussions related to roadway engineeringDOT pre-certified in Road and culvert designSecurity Clearance Requirement:NoneThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.For more than 80 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
