Core Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a cross-functional resource and trusted advisor across all areas of CTC, supporting business initiatives, operational effectiveness, risk management, vendor oversight, and strategic priorities. Coordinate with internal and affiliated partners to ensure strong governance practices, effective controls, and consistent execution of key business activities.

  • Maintain and enhance the frameworks, processes, and tools that support the compliance and effective operation of CTC. Evaluate business activities, identify opportunities for improvement, and work collaboratively with associates and leadership to strengthen processes, documentation, reporting, and organizational effectiveness.

  • Act as the Trust SME in partnership with leaders across CTC and CFG, including risk management, audit, information security, operations, and legal teams, to address business challenges, support enterprise initiatives, and facilitate solutions that balance client needs, business objectives, and prudent risk management.

  • Develop and deliver educational programs and resources that help associates understand key responsibilities, strengthen decision-making, and support a culture of accountability, professionalism, and client service.

  • Work closely with the Chief Fiduciary Officer to evaluate new business opportunities, complex client situations, and strategic initiatives, providing guidance and support throughout the onboarding and implementation process.

  • Collaborate with CIM and other business partners to help ensure investment management activities align with client objectives, governing documents, and organizational standards.

  • Serve as a primary partner to the Chief Fiduciary Officer in interactions with regulators, auditors, and other external stakeholders. Coordinate organization-wide responses to examinations, reviews, and information requests, while ensuring accurate, timely, and professional communications.

  • Lead and support complex, high-impact initiatives across the organization, including mergers and acquisitions, process improvement efforts, operating model enhancements, technology implementations, and other strategic projects. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration, align stakeholders, and drive successful execution of organizational priorities.

  • Provide leadership and support wherever needed across CTC, serving as a versatile resource capable of stepping into a wide range of business, fiduciary, operational, governance, and strategic matters. Act as a key member of the management team and ensure continuity of leadership by serving as the Chief Fiduciary Officer’s designated delegate.

 

What You Need to Have: 

  • Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree or relevant professional designation preferred.

  • Professional certification such as Certified Fiduciary & Investment Risk Specialist (CFRIS) or Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) are highly desirable.

  • 12-15 years of experience in the banking, trust, wealth management, or financial services industry, including leadership responsibilities and exposure to fiduciary, operational, risk, management, governance, or business support functions. 

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, manage complex initiatives, and drive results across multiple business areas.

  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities, with a proven ability to exercise sound judgment in complex situations. 

  • Extensive ability to build collaborative relationships and work effectively across departments.

  • Experience in the Microsoft Suite of applications: Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, and Access.
