1. Utilize extensive understanding of hardware architecture and software to analyze the scalability bottlenecks in our AI and Compute Fleet

1. Conduct state-of-the-art research to advance the science and technology of AI infrastructure

1. Collaborate closely with the team as well as cross-functional partners across a broad range of disciplines and contribute towards Meta's research product development

1. Influence progress of relevant research communities by producing high-quality publications

1. Open source research code and conduct reproducible research

1. Bring the latest ideas to Meta, e.g., through inviting leading researchers to talk to their work at Meta, through sharing advances in the field through internal talks and notes

1. Build a research program for your future

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta

1. Close to completing/recently completed PhD in CS or related fields

1. Track record of recent and consistent publications reflecting expertise in theoretical and/or empirical research

1. Relevant research experience working onAI hardware, software, and algorithms

1. Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment

1. Proven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by publications at leading workshops, journals and conferences

1. Experience with driving research at the individual or team level in large-scale ML Systems/Compiler, AI Accelerator, and/or Distributed Systems

$122,000/year to $181,000/year + benefits
