If you are an Engineering Technician looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based out of our Knoxville, Tennessee office, you will combine your skills and experience to handle various duties to test, troubleshoot, repair and refurbish customers’ products returned from the field. This is an important role, supporting the Reliability Solutions products.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Test and calibrate instrumentation to specifications using test procedures and schematics.
  • Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation down to board level, with some component level at times.
  • Writes detailed technical reports to describe product failure and repair resolution. 
  • Analyzes and interprets test data.
  • Record test results per Quality requirements and ISO standards
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures and safety guidelines          
  • Demonstrate consistent high proficiency and job performance level, along with the ability to perform with minimal errors. Demonstrate high degree of flexibility to perform any customer product repair task for which they are assigned.

You partner with others to get the work done.  For This Role, You Will Need:
  • A.S. in electrical engineering or equivalent experience
  • Ability maintaining positive work relationships with all work associates
  • Ability to maintain good customer relations
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to use MS Office tools efficiently and effectively 
  • Good communication skills 
  • ISO 9001:2015 experience a plus
 Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Knowledge of digital circuitry including microprocessors 
  • Knowledge of multimeters, signals generators, etc.
  • Knowledge of workmanship standards.
  • Ability to use a soldering iron for surface mount components.
