About the role:

As a Engineer for Waste Package Documentation you will be responsible for the preparation of the container and waste documentation for the segmentation. Project in Gundremmingen is limited to 08.08.2031. The activities are on site at the Gundremmingen nuclear power plant site.

You will report to the Senior Manager Waste Management and be located at Mannheim.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organization of waste documentation preparation on site (Gundremmingen)
  • Monitoring and controlling of the loading process into the repository containers (checking the completeness of the steps carried out, including the necessary dose rate measurements)
  • Monitoring and control of the packaging process of the loading magazines (dose rate measurement on cut pieces with subsequent evaluation and adjustment)
  • Update project status and communicate with project management
  • Coordination and communication with subcontractor for waste documentation

Qualifications:

  • Degree in mechanical engineering or process engineering
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in the field of nuclear waste documentation
  • Fluency in German and English is required
  • MS Office skills
  • Strong technical interest, flexibility, understanding of project priorities and ability to work in a team
