Porters Neck Village is recruiting for a hospitality focused Director of Home Care to join our team!
The Director of Home Care oversees the private duty services agency in the community. The Director initiates, implements, and evaluates goals and objectives for quality private duty services which meet and promote the standards of excellence and quality, and contributes to the total organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for building a high-performing healthcare team who will provide best-in-class home health services to the community. Leading, coaching and developing the team as they continuously improve the services provided and underlying processes to ensure excellent outcomes. Education and Experience Degree requirements: Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education and work experience Certifications, Licenses or Registrations required, if any: NC RN/LPN highly preferred but not required. Current AHA CPR certification required. Minimum years of career experience to qualify for role: 3 Total years of career experience to be fully proficient: 5 Skills, Knowledge and Abilities The minimum skills and/or competencies required to be successful in the position are listed below.- Three years of management experience in a private duty or related organization preferred
- Has excellent observation and communication skills.
- Is self-directed with the ability to work with little supervision.
- Is flexible and cooperative in fulfilling obligations.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with ability to create a document or simple spreadsheet.
- Ability to learn relevant business system tools
- Attention to detail in composing, keying, and proofing professional business materials
- Customer oriented with ability to listen to and anticipate needs of the customer
- Exceptional communications and organizational skills
- Adaptable with ability to switch tasks based on shifting priorities
- Excellent written communication skills with ability to compose professional business communications via email, letter, and proposals.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with ability to present professional demonstrations
- Intuitive with ability to perceive others' feelings and motives quickly from subtle signals
- Good listening skills with ability to receive information completely and understand what is being said
- Interpersonal skills with ability to work well with all levels of the organization
