Meta's global energy portfolio is growing at an unprecedented pace. Every power purchase agreement, every interconnection milestone, every commercial operation date — the work between "contract signed" and "electrons delivered" — runs through Energy Asset Management. This role leads that entire program. As the Manager of Energy Asset Management, you will lead a team of 16 portfolio managers responsible for the full post-execution lifecycle of Meta's energy contracts worldwide. You are the single point of accountability for ensuring that every signed deal is onboarded, tracked, supported through development, brought to COD, and maintained in compliance for the life of the contract. You will build and refine the operational systems that make this possible at global scale.Expectations of this role:- Developing a full understanding of portfolio state, team capabilities, and operational gaps. Clear plan for workflow improvements and team structure optimization.- Measurable improvement in onboarding cycle time, milestone tracking accuracy, and compliance coverage. Team operating with clear SLAs and escalation paths.- Scalable operational infrastructure in place that absorbs portfolio growth without proportional headcount growth. - Team developed with clear path forward, clear direction and vision and reduced single points of failure. Leadership has real-time confidence in portfolio health. Why This Role MattersMeta's energy ambitions are only as credible as our ability to execute on the contracts we sign. This role ensures that every MW contracted becomes a MW delivered — on time, in compliance, and with the operational excellence that a global portfolio demands.

Manager, Energy Portfolio Management Responsibilities:

Own and operate the end-to-end energy asset management programs across all global markets

Define and continuously improve workflows for contract onboarding, milestone tracking, COD support, and ongoing compliance management

Establish and maintain SLAs, escalation paths, and quality standards for portfolio management deliverables

Own the post-execution process for commercial, clean energy, and wholesale energy contracts

Build dashboards and reporting frameworks that give leadership real-time visibility into portfolio health and risk

Lead, develop, and retain a team of portfolio managers across varying experience levels

Set clear expectations, manage performance, and create career development pathways

Allocate resources and balance workloads across a growing and increasingly complex global portfolio

Foster a culture of operational rigor, ownership, and proactive problem-solving

Oversee the onboarding of all newly executed energy contracts into portfolio management systems and workflows

Ensure project management support through development milestones (permitting, interconnection, construction, and testing)

Drive COD readiness and coordinate cross-functional support for commercial operation transitions

Maintain post-COD compliance monitoring, obligation tracking, and counterparty management

Partner with Commercial Energy on deal handoffs and contract structure implications for asset management

Collaborate with Legal on compliance obligations, amendments, and dispute resolutions

Work with Finance on invoice validation, financial forecasting, and budget alignment

Coordinate with the teams across global energy to support delivery and performance of our energy portfolio

Minimum Qualifications:

3+ years of direct people management experience, with demonstrated ability to lead teams of 10+

Deep understanding of energy contract lifecycle: PPA structures, interconnection processes, COD milestones, compliance frameworks

Experience designing and scaling operational programs from inception, including defining processes, tools, and metrics

Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder processes with long time horizons and high financial stakes

Strong systems thinking — ability to create repeatable workflows, escalation frameworks, and accountability structures

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with energy markets across multiple geographies (Americas, EMEA, APAC)

Master's degree in business, energy, operations, analytics or related field

Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)

Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies

Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)

Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)

Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies

Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)

About Meta:

Meta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
