Our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics and Global Services supporting Caterpillar dealers and customers. Our teams work together in critical areas that leverage digital capabilities, technology and operational excellence.

As a Manager Regional Trade Compliance, you will be responsible for leading trade compliance programs for aftermarket parts, ensuring adherence to export controls, international trade regulations, and country-specific trade requirements. You will serve as the compliance subject matter expert, providing guidance on complex regulatory matters, leading compliance and process transformation initiatives, and partnering with cross-functional teams to review parts, manage trade restrictions, and drive continuous improvement across global trade compliance processes.


Additional Information:

  • This role is located in Morton IL and does not offer relocation.
  • This role is 1st shift, Monday – Friday.
  • This role is 100% on-site with no opportunity for hybrid or remote schedules
  • This role requires up to 10% domestic and/or international travel

What You Will Do:

  • Lead trade compliance programs for aftermarket parts, ensuring adherence to export controls, embargoes, and international trade regulations.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for trade compliance, providing guidance on regulatory requirements and complex compliance scenarios.

  • Review and evaluate parts and product attributes to determine appropriate trade restrictions, controls, or approvals.

  • Lead and participate in cross-functional projects related to global trade compliance and regulatory requirements.

  • Drive process transformation and continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing lean principles to enhance compliance processes.

  • Define business requirements and provide compliance expertise for system and process enhancements.

  • Partner with stakeholders across the organization to implement compliant and efficient trade processes.

  • Monitor evolving global trade regulations and provide recommendations to mitigate compliance risks and support business objectives.


What You Have (Basic Requirements):

  • Operational Functions: Knowledge of major functional processes and associated operating requirements; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.

  • Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

  • Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

  • Import/Export - MFG: Knowledge of issues, procedures, tools and practices of importing and exporting; ability to import and export goods to and from international locations.

  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the aftermarket parts lifecycle, including how parts move through the supply chain and where trade compliance requirements apply.
  • Experience working in global trade compliance, export controls, or international trade regulations.
  • Proven ability to apply compliance requirements within complex business processes and operational systems.
  • Experience leading cross-functional transformation initiatives and driving process improvement efforts.
  • Ability to balance regulatory compliance with business needs while influencing stakeholders across the organization.
  • Demonstrated success serving as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert on trade compliance matters.

Summary Pay Range:

$128,470.00 - $192,710.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
