Job summary: 

The Wellbeing Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the design, administration, and delivery of wellbeing initiatives across PwC Africa. This dynamic role combines hands-on coordination and administrative duties with growing responsibility for event and project management, data integrity, and internal and external stakeholder communication. The incumbent will work collaboratively with multiple regional teams, service providers, and contacts across multiple PwC Africa countries to ensure wellbeing programs run effectively and contribute to a positive workplace culture. The role emphasises proactive coordination, and the ability to work across multiple initiatives and deadlines simultaneously. The role offers an opportunity to further develop project management and communication skills with a view to progressing into senior wellbeing support roles. 

Key responsibilities: 

Primary duties (non-negotiable):  

  • Maintain, update, and verify wellbeing trackers, attendance registers, and administrative records with accuracy which includes but not limited to consistent naming and live linkage to the Power BI dataset within the agreed timeliness. 

  • Capture, organize, and analyze wellbeing data for reporting purposes, ensuring completeness and facilitating insights to support program improvements. 

  • Manage the processing of invoices and payments, including document handling, tracking approvals, updating budget spreadsheets, and following up on payment status with diligence. 

  • Independently schedule meetings, wellbeing sessions, and events, managing invites, reminders, and logistical arrangements. 

  • Coordinate wellbeing talks, campaigns, and onsite initiatives, managing bookings, registrations, event logistics, and day-of-event support across virtual and physical settings. 

  • Prepare and review administrative materials such as booking forms, attendance lists, communication drafts, posters, and event documentation. 

  • Support and contribute to wellbeing communications by drafting messages, maintaining calendars, sharing reminders, and keeping communication platforms like SharePoint and Teams up to date. 

  • Act as a key liaison with internal teams across PwC Africa, service providers, and regional contacts on routine and escalated wellbeing program matters. 

  • The individual will be responsible for running a range of smaller wellbeing projects and campaigns, such as Wellness days, Blood drives, and Vitamin B and Flu vaccinations (across regional offices). 

  • Proactively identify and escalate issues, or gaps in information to wellbeing leadership for timely resolution. 

  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement and expansion of wellbeing initiatives by supporting ad hoc projects and new program development. 

  • Provide mentorship or guidance to junior team members or interns as appropriate, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment. 

  • Ensure strict confidentiality, data protection, and adherence to firm policies in all activities. 

 

Qualifications and experience: 

Minimum qualifications and experience: 

  • Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent required; relevant diploma/certificate in Human Resources, Business Administration, Wellness, Event Management, or related field preferred. 

  • 2 to 5 years’ experience in administrative, coordination, or project support roles with increasing responsibility, ideally within professional services or corporate wellbeing functions. 

  • Experience managing events, data, and budget administration processes. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with SharePoint or other intranet platforms. 

  • Exposure of data analysis/reporting tools and internal communications support is advantageous. 

  • Experience working in a professional services, corporate, or support services environment would be beneficial

  • Competent use of technology platforms including Microsoft Office and SharePoint. 

Working conditions: 

Work environment, hybrid model, etc. 

 

This role follows a hybrid working model consistent with PwC policy, requiring office presence for team collaboration and event support. Coordination may span multiple teams, locations, and third-party providers, with occasional after-hours work during events or campaigns.
