As a Custom Software Engineering Lead, a typical day involves overseeing the technical direction and architectural design of bespoke software solutions. This role requires guiding teams through the entire development lifecycle, from initial design concepts to final delivery. The position focuses on establishing and maintaining development standards, ensuring that the software produced is scalable, performs efficiently, and aligns closely with the strategic goals of the business. Collaboration and leadership are central, as the role demands continuous engagement with team members to foster innovation and quality throughout the project execution.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead the establishment and enforcement of coding standards and best practices to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Facilitate effective communication and coordination among cross-functional teams to drive project success.
- Mentor junior team members to support their professional growth and enhance team capabilities.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Murex Datamart Reporting.
- Good To Have Skills: Experience with Murex Back Office Workflows.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture principles and design patterns relevant to custom software development.
- Ability to analyze complex technical challenges and devise scalable, maintainable solutions.
- Experience in leading software development teams and managing project timelines effectively.
- Familiarity with performance optimization techniques and ensuring software scalability.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 8 years of experience in Murex Datamart Reporting.
- This position is based at our MDC8A - STPI location.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
