How you create impact

We are looking for a THC Payments Specialist to join our Air Logistics Global Services, at RCC, Air Freight . In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of Terminal Handling Charge (THC) payments, supporting smooth cargo operations and maintaining strong relationships with carriers and internal stakeholders worldwide.If you are detail-oriented, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy working with financial and operational processes, this opportunity is for you.

As a THC Payments Specialist, you will:

  • Process and execute THC payments through external carrier payment platforms.
  • Review, validate, and ensure the accuracy of shipment and payment data across internal and external systems.
  • Audit and pre-approve payments prepared by team members, ensuring compliance with established procedures.
  • Coordinate closely with Finance teams to ensure timely payment processing and issue resolution.
  • Upload and maintain payment records and proof of payments within internal systems.
  • Communicate with carriers to clarify discrepancies, validate information, and resolve payment-related exceptions.
  • Collaborate with Kuehne+Nagel colleagues across countries and functions to address operational issues and support continuous workflow.
  • Monitor quality and productivity KPIs while ensuring adherence to SOPs, guidelines, and company policies.
  • Identify potential process improvements and proactively escalate risks or operational challenges.
  • Support cross-training activities and continuously expand knowledge across additional processes.

What we would like you to bring

    • High School Diploma required; studies in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, International Trade, or related fields are a plus.
    • Intermediate English proficiency (B1 or higher).
    • You would outstand if your experience comes from Freight Forwarding sector.
    • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with data.
    • Previous experience in logistics, freight forwarding, transportation, airlines, warehousing, finance operations, or shared services is preferred.
    • Experience with payment processing, invoice validation, or operational systems is an advantage.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
    • Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to manage repetitive tasks while maintaining high quality and productivity standards.
    • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Flexible, goal-oriented team player with a willingness to learn, adapt, and support changing business needs.

 

Work schedule: Thursday to Monday 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Under a Hybrid work model.

 

This position is subject to a rotating schedule and shift, which may vary between day, night, or mixed shifts. Your days off will also be assigned by the company, and both your schedule and days off may be modified with a minimum notice of five (5) business days.
