Food Preparer C-Food Service-Mount Sinai Hospital-Part Time, Days, Weekends and Holidays
Prepares, cooks and dispenses food in accordance with specifications, quality standards and sanitary regulations. Assigns work to Cooks and Cook's Helpers. Maintains par level and delivers food entrees to Cafeteria steam-table, assist cooking supervisors as required.
- Washes, chops, slices, weighs, measures and mixes ingredients and prepares individual portions in accordance with specifications and cooking instructions.
- Cooks food as assigned following detailed recipes and procedures. Uses all appropriate cooking equipment such as gas ovens, ranges, fryers and various utensils.
- Assigns a variety of meal preparation tasks to Cook's Helper, such as washing, slicing and mixing ingredients, panning and seasoning foods.
- Maintains cleanliness, safety and general appearance of cooking stations. Cleans work tables and utensils.
- Performs above duties at all cooking stations on rotation basis, assists in cold food preparation.
- Makes recommendations to supervisor regarding status of Baker and Baker's Helper.
- Performs related duties as required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.

The salary range for the role is $29.40 - $31.51 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
