Job Description:

Senior Safety Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Safety Engineer with solid experience in railway engineering and a strong desire to contribute to the development of complex solutions with a direct impact on the safety of Hitachi Rail products and systems.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with international development, systems, testing, and validation teams, actively contributing to the definition and implementation of RAMS and Safety Assurance strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define RAMS and Safety Assurance strategies for projects, products, and solutions;

• Prepare, review, and approve key safety documentation, including RAMS Plans, Safety Plans, Hazard Logs, RAM Reports, Safety Cases, Safety Assessment Reports, and Safety Justification Documents;

• Coordinate RAMS and Safety activities throughout the entire product lifecycle;

• Lead hazard analyses and assess the impact of changes on system safety, availability, maintainability, and reliability;

• Represent the RAMS discipline in internal and external technical meetings.

We Are Looking For Candidates Who Have:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in railway engineering;

• Proven experience in projects developed in accordance with EN 50126, EN 50128, and EN 50129 standards;

• Demonstrated experience in preparing and approving system- and subsystem-level safety documentation;

• Experience with tools such as JIRA, DOORS, GIT, ClearCase, or similar platforms.
