Opportunity
You will be a part of the GA Substation Automation team. Your work involves supporting site testing and commissioning activities for SCADA systems, also configuring of Substation Automation products (Like MicroSCADA family Products- SYS600, SYS600C, Historian, SDM600, DMS600) and communication protocols (IEC61850, IEC101, IC104, Modbus). As an individual contributor, you are expected to complete tasks within the scheduled timelines while collaborating effectively with colleagues when required. You may need to interact with counterparts to clarify queries and ensure smooth execution. Additionally, you may engage with other departments such as Engineering, Project Management and Production Team as needed.
How you’ll make an impact
- Configuration and Testing of Substation Automation System (SAS) for high and medium voltage substation:
- Act as Testing & commissioning for medium to high complex projects.
- Ensure completion of all commissioning activities efficiently and cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Thorough knowledge of conventional control systems & Hands on Experience with SCMS
- Hands on with Micro SCADA / RTU Applications
- Tools Experience IET, ITT, Automation Builder, Multiprong, equivalent with Third party Scada systems would be added advantage.
- Manages the commissioning activities to ensure quality, timely delivery within targeted costs.
- Ability to work autonomously and as a part of team.
- 100% of the role needs travelling and willingness to travel extensively, including assignments arranged at short notice and on an irregular basis

- Actively participate in training and improve product and process knowledge.

Your Background
- Bachelor’s degree in B.E / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Must have 3 -5 years of experience.
- Relevant Work Experience on MicroSCADA family Products- SYS600, SYS600C, Historian, SDM600, DMS600.
- Exposure to SYS600 engineering tools (View builder and Display builder)
- Good understanding of Communication Protocols (IEC61850, IEC101, IC104, LON, SPA, DPN3,
Modbus etc...)
- Willing to travel for site testing and commissioning activities.
- Familiarity with codes and applicable standards like IEC, IEEE, ANSI, etc...
- Ability to work in a team and maintain professionalism.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
- Strong working experience in Hitachi Energy Software tools viz MicroSCADA, RTUtil, IET600, ITT600, PCM600.
- MS-Office: Word, Excel, Visio
