Job Description
As a Security Officer Hotel Full Time Access Control in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a hotel and resort location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help to deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for guests, staff, and visitors. You will respond to security-related concerns, communicate professionally, and provide exceptional customer service while reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven culture.

Pay Rate: $18.50 - $19.50 / Hour

- Provide customer service to hotel guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to guest concerns, incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of guest areas, lobbies, entrances, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to site leadership and/or appropriate personnel.
- Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation in accordance with site procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Loss Prevention experience is preferred.
- Access Control/Badge experience is preferred.
- CPR Certification is preferred.
- Alarm Panel experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
