Key Account Manager – E-commerce
About the RoleWe are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Key Account Manager (KAM) – E-commerce to own and grow House of Purplle brand performance across leading online marketplaces and quick-commerce platforms. This role sits at the intersection of sales, category management, and P&L ownership, and is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven, multi-platform environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAccount & Relationship Management•Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned marketplace/Q-commerce platforms, building strong working relationships with category managers and platform POCs.•Negotiate and close Joint Business Plans (JBPs), trade terms, and annual commercial agreements within approved margin/commission mandates.•Manage escalations and cross-functional disputes with platform counterparts, escalating strategically when required.Revenue & P&L Ownership•Own the monthly/quarterly revenue target and P&L for assigned platforms, tracking GMV, net revenue, contribution margin, and ROI.•Drive listing growth, catalogue expansion, and new product launches on each platform.•Plan and execute promotional calendars, deals, and platform-led sale events (BBD, Diwali, IPL, etc.) to maximize visibility and offtake.Demand Planning & Supply Chain Coordination•Forecast demand and coordinate with supply chain/warehouse teams to ensure healthy fill rates and minimize stock-outs or excess inventory.•Monitor inventory health, aging stock, and returns (RTO/RVP), and drive corrective actions.Performance Analysis & Reporting•Track and analyze key metrics — sales, funnel conversion, market share, ad spend efficiency (ACOS/ROAS), and de-growth/growth drivers — to inform weekly and monthly business reviews.•Build and present dashboards/decks for internal leadership and platform Top-to-Top (T2T) meetings.Marketing & Merchandising•Collaborate with brand and performance marketing teams to plan on-platform advertising (sponsored ads, banners, platform marketing tools) within budget.•Ensure content, imagery, and A+ pages meet platform and brand guidelines to optimize conversion. Required Skills & Qualifications: •MBA or equivalent degree in Marketing, Sales, or Business Management preferred.•3–6 years of relevant experience in e-commerce/marketplace key account management, preferably in FMCG, beauty, or D2C categories.•Strong working knowledge of marketplace seller/vendor panels (Amazon Seller/Vendor Central, Flipkart, etc.) and Q-commerce dark-store models.•Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for data analysis; familiarity with dashboarding tools is a plus.•Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and commercial acumen.•Ability to manage multiple platforms and priorities simultaneously in a fast-changing environment.•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
