Automation Testing (API, Page Object Model (POM)/BDD/Cucumber/Specflow) || Pune

Pune Location

5 Days Work from Office

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web applications.
• Execute manual and automated test cases to validate application functionality.
• Participate in requirement analysis, sprint planning, and daily Scrum meetings.
• Identify, log, track, and verify defects.
• Assist in building and maintaining automation frameworks under the guidance of senior team members.
• Validate APIs using tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
• Execute regression, smoke, and sanity test suites.
• Review test results and communicate issues effectively.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA team members to ensure product quality.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in testing and automation.
• Contribute to AI enabled Automation test building.

Required Skills

Testing Fundamentals

• Understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
• Knowledge of Test Case Design Techniques
• Defect Lifecycle understanding
• Agile/Scrum methodology basics

Automation & AI

• Basic knowledge of Selenium WebDriver
• Understanding of Page Object Model (POM)/BDD/Cucumber/Specflow
• Familiarity with automation frameworks
• Familiarity with mobile automation
• Familiarity with AI-assisted test automation tools such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT or similar platforms.
• Ability to leverage AI tools for test script generation, test data creation, script generation, and debugging support.

Programming

• Good knowledge of C#, Java, or Python
• Good Understanding of OOPS concepts
• Ability to write reusable methods and debug issues

API Testing

• Familiarity with REST APIs
• Exposure to Postman
• Understanding of HTTP methods and status codes

Tools

• Git/GitHub/Azure Repos
• Jira or Azure DevOps
• Basic SQL knowledge

Good to have skills

• Exposure to Cucumber/BDD concepts
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts
• Knowledge of mobile testing fundamentals
• Basic cloud testing exposure (BrowserStack/Sauce Labs)
