Executive Assistant

South AfricaFull-timePosted Aug 9, 2026

Behind most decisions a leader gets right is an EA who made sure the right things reached them at the right time.

Job Overview

Our UK-based client is hiring a full-time, remote Executive Assistant based in South Africa. You will partner with senior leadership: owning the diary, filtering the noise, driving follow-ups and keeping the executive operating at their best. This is a long-term role on UK business hours.

About Our Client

The client is a growing UK company whose leadership time is its scarcest resource. They want an EA who treats that time like capital - invested deliberately, protected fiercely and never wasted on things someone else should handle.

Key Responsibilities

- Own complex diary management across meetings, travel and deadlines

- Triage communications and draft responses in the executive's voice

- Prepare briefings, agendas and papers before every key meeting

- Track actions and decisions, chasing owners until items close

- Coordinate projects, events and stakeholder follow-ups

- Manage confidential matters with judgement and discretion

- Continuously improve the executive's operating rhythm

What You Will Be Doing Day-to-Day

You start ahead of the day: diary confirmed, papers ready, a crisp brief on what matters and what changed overnight. Through the day you sit at the centre of the flow - scheduling, drafting, chasing and recording - so decisions move and nothing stalls in an inbox.

You will close each week with the follow-up list current, the next week planned, and the executive clear on where their attention is needed. That rhythm, sustained, is the job.

This suits a senior South African professional with EA experience who is composed, precise and quietly influential - trusted with the sensitive, relied on for the essential.

If you are based in South Africa with immaculate English and a record of supporting leaders well, this is a stable senior remote role with a UK employer that knows what a great EA is worth. Apply today.

Requirements

- 3+ years' experience as an EA supporting senior leadership

- Immaculate written and spoken English, including drafting on a principal's behalf

- Proven reliability: stable fibre internet, backup power for load shedding, and a private home office

- Advanced with tech tools: Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, calendars, Zoom and task trackers

- Exceptional prioritisation, follow-through and stakeholder handling

- Absolute discretion with confidential information

Benefits

Full-time remote position working for a UK-based employer. Competitive salary paid in ZAR. Long-term stable role. Supportive team environment. Direct access to founder-led business.
