Royalty Analyst

MalaysiaPosted Jul 29, 2026

We take play seriously. We’re looking for curious adventurers ready to find their party, fueled by imagination and drive to build what’s never been built before. At Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast, you’ll collaborate with passionate teams to reimagine our iconic brands and create experiences that spark joy, connection, and community through the magic of play. This is your chance to shape legendary play that lasts a lifetime.

We are seeking a Royalty Analyst to join the team responsible for recognizing and collecting inbound royalties from Hasbro's global network of licensees across categories such as merchandising, publishing, digital gaming, casino, and location-based entertainment. Reporting to the Manager, Royalties, you will be a key partner to our licensees — interacting closely and often to ensure royalties are reported correctly and questions resolved — and a critical connector across our internal finance teams, keeping royalties reported and recorded completely, accurately, and on time.

You are joining at an exciting time. We are modernizing the platform and processes behind royalty reporting to improve accuracy, control, and visibility. As that shift takes hold, this role supports the evolution from processing and triage toward analysis, judgment, and partnership: making sure what licensees report makes sense, catching anomalies, and helping our internal and external partners get answers fast. We're looking for a sharp problem-solver who wants to help build that better way of working.

What You Will Do as a Royalty Analyst:

  • Process licensee royalty reporting — receive, review, and upload licensee royalty statements, and ensure amounts are reported completely and accurately against contract terms.
  • Be a key partner to our licensees and internal teams — field and resolve inquiries from licensees, Regional Finance, A/R, and others with responsiveness and good judgment; you are often the person a licensee interacts with directly.
  • Apply analysis, not just processing — assess whether reported royalties are reasonable (e.g., when reported figures depart from expected patterns) and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support invoicing and payment application — coordinate with Accounts Receivable to invoice licensees and apply payments accurately to their accounts.
  • Reconcile balances between our royalty platform and SAP, investigating and resolving reconciling items in a timely manner.
  • Run and interpret reports from the royalty platform to support close, accruals, and internal/external partner requests.
  • Help make the process better — take ownership of removing friction you see from the front line, test new system capabilities, and bring an eager, tool-oriented mindset to improving how the work gets done.
  • Support close and audit — contribute to month-end and quarter-end activities and provide documentation to support internal and external audits.

What You Will Bring:

  • Strong problem-solving ability and analytical instincts — the core of this role. You investigate anomalies, ask why, and follow through until the figures reconcile.
  • A genuine orientation toward partner and relationship support — you bring operational excellence, responsiveness, and reliability to everything you touch, with both internal teams and external licensees.
  • Comfort and curiosity with tools and technology, and eagerness to use them to work more efficiently.
  • Hands-on proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize a high volume of inbound reports and inquiries without losing accuracy or attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A self-directed, collaborative working style, with the adaptability to stay effective as the role and tools evolve.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred; SAP experience a plus but not a must
