Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Plant Services Coordinator, you will support the Manager of Plant Operations/Grounds and provide crucial leadership and assistance to various trades. Your primary objective will be to ensure the maintenance and preventive maintenance of buildings, equipment, and grounds, thereby providing a safe and healthful environment.Every day you will collaborate with tradespeople, oversee maintenance schedules, and help coordinate tasks to ensure all facilities and equipment are in optimal working condition. This involves proactive problem-solving, resource allocation, and ensuring compliance with safety standards to maintain a secure and efficient operational environment.To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a foundational understanding of building trades and maintenance principles. Your ability to lead, support, and coordinate diverse teams in upholding a safe and functional physical plant will be central to the continuous operation and well-being of our facilities.
- Coordinates workloads, expedites work orders and regularly logs times and materials required for completion of work. Investigates delays, solves problems and ensures timely completion of work.
- Evaluates cost estimates and schedules sub-contractors for repairs to the buildings and equipment.
- Monitors and inspects work to ensure compliance with codes, regulations and job specifications.
- Provides assistance with maintenance, preventive maintenance and construction duties as necessary.
- Maintains all required records and information for all regulatory agencies (i.e., JAHCO, Life Safety, & State & City building/health departments).
- Prioritizing work as to immediate need.

- 5 years of experience in hospital maintenance or proven ability to perform these responsibilties, upon hire
