AltaGas - E&I Maintenance Coordinator, REEF

AltaGas is seeking an E&I Maintenance Coordinator, based out of Prince Rupert, to support our REEF Terminal Operations team! This role will coordinate daily electrical, instrumentation, controls, and IT maintenance activities at the REEF facility. The facility includes 5kV switchgear, breakers, VFDs and motors, natural gas power generation, DCS and PLC controls, various IT and OT networks, process instruments communicating via HART 4-20, instrument air actuated valves, hydrocarbon flow meters, fire and gas safety detection equipment, gas analyzers, and gas chromatographs.

Your primary focus will be to ensure all work aligns with AltaGas’ Core Values: safety, collaboration, integrity, inclusion, and learning. This role requires strong technical expertise, planning skills, and the ability to coordinate internal and external resources to maintain safe and reliable operations.

You Will:

• Oversee and coordinate Electrical, Instrumentation, Controls and IT maintenance workers, jobs, and 3rd party service providers.
• Lead daily morning toolbox meetings.
• Maintain an Electrical, Instrumentation, Controls and IT maintenance schedule using Maximo.
• Prepare and communicate a detailed maintenance schedule 1 week in advance, coordinating personnel and equipment.
• Ensure jobs are walked down, detailed plans are drafted, parts are ordered/available, and work permits and LOTO are confirmed before scheduling.
• Arrange and schedule 3rd party contractors for maintenance activities.
• Work with Operations Coordinators to schedule activities with minimal production downtime.
• Review and approve 3rd party LEMs or time sheets.
• Source parts and services and enter material/service requisitions.
• Oversee warehousing and spare parts inventory levels for Electrical, Instrumentation, Controls and IT.

You Have:

• Red Seal Journeyman Electrician or Red Seal Journeyman Instrument Technician preferred.
• Experience as an E&I foreman or lead.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment failures.
• Proficiency with Excel-based spreadsheets and Maximo.
• Valid driver's license.
   

Compensation
This position offers a competitive base salary of $138,000 - $150,000 / year, based on experience, education, and skills. AltaGas also provides a competitive relocation allowance and a comprehensive benefits package, including health coverage, retirement plans, and paid time off starting on day one.
