The ideal candidate will take pride in their work, demonstrate discretion and professionalism, and ensure the residence is consistently clean, sanitary, and welcoming. Specific to the PositionPerform general cleaning duties across the site in both the private and public areas of a historic site, including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and polishing. Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms, and common areas, maintaining all cleaning equipment in proper working condition. Empty trash and dispose of waste properly. Replenish household supplies (toiletries, cleaning products, etc.) promptly. Maintain a clean and organized environment the private areas of the historic site, including washing, drying, ironing or steaming clothing, and coordinating any required dry-cleaning with kitchen staff. Support kitchen staff during sit-down dinners, meetings, receptions, and other events beyond the normal tour of duty, including evenings and weekends. Follow established cleaning schedules and special instructions to ensure the site is consistently ready for public tours, visits and events. During events, ensure that high-traffic areas are pristine and restrooms are serviced regularly, assist with setup, food placement, serving meals and beverages, and clearing items as needed. At the conclusion of events, clean public areas and restrooms thoroughly.Perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, or standing for extended periods, work independently while managing time efficiently.
