The role requires industry experience and deep technical expertise to apply novel machine learning and AI techniques under real-world constraints. The focus is on delivering impactful, reliable AI systems that demonstrate measurable value in practical, industrial environments.Your ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain AI-driven software applications (including Vision Language Action Models (VLAs)) for robotic systems, ensuring high performance and reliabilityCollaborate with hardware engineers, system architects, and other software engineers to integrate AI applications with robotic hardwareWrite clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and industry standardsTest and validate AI applications in real-world environments, ensuring they meet performance and safety requirementsProvide technical support and guidance to other team members and stakeholdersStay updated with the latest advancements in AI and robotics, and integrate relevant innovations into the development processEssential SkillsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related fieldAt least 5 years experience working with real robotic hardware and AI applications in industrial environmentsStrong understanding of multimodal learning concepts (e.g. vision-language-action), including model architectures, training paradigms, and advantages/limitationsStrong foundation in machine learning and deep learning, with hands-on experience deploying AI models in industrial or real-world use cases (e.g., reinforcement learning or world models).Proficiency in programming languages such as C++ and PythonStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environmentExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalBeneficial SkillsFamiliarity with ROSExperience with simulation tools such as Mujoco, Nvidia Isaac-Sim, or similarFamiliarity with hardware interfacing and real-time operating systemsKnowledge of software development tools and practices, including version control systems (e.g., Git), continuous integration, and Agile methodologiesWhat we offerA dynamic high-tech company combined with financial soundness and world-class investors.Join an interdisciplinary, international team with 60+ different nationalities in a collaborative work environment.Lots of development opportunities in the context of our continued growth.Challenging tasks and impactful projects alongside experts that enable professional and personal growth.Corporate Benefits Program that covers health, mobility, and learning with 100€ net per month.Modern office facilities with a rooftop terrace overlooking Munich, free drinks & fruits, and regular company events contribute to a good working environment.About usAgile Robots SE is an international high-tech company based in Munich, Germany with a production site in Kaufbeuren and more than 2300 employees worldwide.
